Our Mission

To foster resilient New Hampshire communities by empowering them to realize their energy goals.

The Coalition will create value for our Community Power member municipalities by jointly contracting for services, developing projects and programs together, educating and engaging the public, and advocating for communities and customers at the Legislature and Public Utilities Commission.

Build Community Power | Join the Coalition

Join the cohort of New Hampshire cities, towns and counties who are leading the Community Power movement.

The Coalition's Early Legislative Victory

House Bill 315 was introduced in January 2021 and would have revoked key local control authorities and foreclosed the launch of any Community Power program in practice.

The Coalition’s Organizing Group quickly united a broad range of local stakeholders to protect Community Power authorities.

Welcome Booklet For Member Candidates

April 2021

This Booklet is intended for local elected officials, staff and community leaders working to advance energy solutions in their town, city or county city by making use of the Community Power Law (RSA 53-E). The Booklet introduces the concepts of Community Power and the Coalition, invites municipalities to join the Coalition — and explains how working together will avoid duplicative contracting costs, unlock benefits for communities large and small, and accelerate local energy innovations on a statewide basis.
