Rules and Guidelines
Battle Rules:
- Each prelim will have a MAXIMUM of 6 bands
- Each band must be at the venue with their equipment by 5:00PM
- Each band will be allowed a 30 MINUTE SET
- Each band will be given a “5 MINUTE” or “LAST SONG” WARNING via the PA. Any band that goes beyond 30 minutes will have 10 points deducted from their score. At minute 35 the band will be cut off.
- After completing their performance, each band is expected to remove their equipment from the stage as quickly as possible. Failure to remove all equipment from the stage within 5 minutes will result in a 5-point penalty.
- No band member may be OLDER than *25 years of age
- No band member may be in more than one band entered in the Battle
- All bands MUST REGISTER by the deadline – NO EXCEPTIONS!
- Each band member MUST ATTEND A MINIMUM of one planning meeting
- All bands MUST SELL A MINIMUM of 10 advance tickets or PAY AN ENTRANCE FEE of $10 per band member.
- No persons shall be permitted to engage in Club Cannon activities while under the influence or in possession of alcohol and/or other drugs.
- No person shall be permitted to engage in Club Cannon activities while in the possession of a weapon or perceived weapon (with the exception of law enforcement).
- No person shall be permitted to engage in behavior that is violent or threatening in any way.
- Clothing, which advertises alcohol and/or tobacco products, is strictly prohibited.
- Smoking is not allowed. Matches and lighters are prohibited.
- All lyrics are expected to be clean and MUST NOT promote the use of alcohol, tobacco or other drugs
- No moshing will be allowed
- Bands are allowed to bring merchandise to sell, such as T-shirts and CDs
- Bands agree that photos taken by venue staff may be used for future promotions and programs
